Delvoro Logistics – Terms & Conditions (Updated Version)

Including High-Value Goods, Freight & Multi-Drop Clauses

Company: Delvoro Logistics

Service: Same-day courier and related logistics services within the United Kingdom.

1. Definitions

  • “Client”, “Customer”, “You” – any individual or business using Delvoro services.
  • “Consignment” – any package, parcel, freight, goods, or item accepted for transport.
  • “Driver” – an employee, contractor, or authorised representative of Delvoro.
  • “Service” – any courier, transport, logistics, or delivery service provided by Delvoro.

2. Scope of Service

2.1 Delvoro provides same-day courier, multi-drop, and freight services across the UK, subject to driver availability.

2.2 Collection and delivery times are estimates and not guaranteed unless explicitly confirmed in writing as a guaranteed service.

2.3 We reserve the right to refuse any consignment that is unsafe, prohibited, inadequately packaged, or unlawful.

3. Customer Responsibilities

3.1 You must ensure the consignment is:

  • Appropriately packaged for transport
  • Clearly labelled with full delivery details
  • Safe, legal, and compliant with UK regulations

3.2 You must inform us of:

  • Fragile or delicate items
  • High-value goods
  • Hazardous materials
  • Perishable items
  • Oversized or heavy freight requiring special equipment

3.3 You must provide accurate collection and delivery information for each stop in a multi-drop route.

4. Prohibited Items

Delvoro does not carry items including, but not limited to:

  • Weapons, ammunition, explosives
  • Illegal drugs or substances
  • Live animals
  • Hazardous materials (unless pre-approved in writing)
  • Cash exceeding £1,000
  • Items prohibited by UK law or carrier regulations

We may refuse or return such items at your cost.

5. Pricing & Payment

5.1 Charges are based on mileage, vehicle type, route complexity, waiting time, and any additional service requirements.

5.2 Multi-drop pricing is calculated based on distance, number of stops, and time required.

5.3 Freight or oversized items may incur surcharges based on handling requirements.

5.4 Payment terms:

  • Immediate payment for non-account customers
  • 30 days from invoice date for approved account holders

5.5 Late payments may incur:

  • Statutory interest under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998
  • Administrative recovery costs

5.6 VAT is charged at the prevailing rate unless exempt.

6. Liability & Insurance

6.1 Delvoro’s standard liability for loss or damage is limited to £50 per consignment, unless prior written agreement and additional insurance are purchased.

6.2 We are not liable for:

  • Any delay caused by traffic, weather, road closures, accidents, or events beyond our control
  • Consequential or indirect losses, including lost profits or business interruption
  • Damage caused by inadequate packaging supplied by the customer

6.3 Additional insurance may be arranged before collection and must be confirmed in writing.

7. High-Value Goods Clause

7.1 High-value goods (items exceeding £1,000 in value) must be declared at the time of booking.

7.2 Failure to declare the value may void all liability in the event of damage or loss.

7.3 Additional insurance is required for full-value coverage.

7.4 High-value consignments may require:

  • Photographic evidence at collection
  • Photographic evidence upon delivery
  • A signature from the recipient or authorised representative

7.5 We may refuse transport of high-value items if proper insurance or packaging is not in place.

8. Freight & Large Consignments

8.1 Palletised freight, oversize goods, or heavy items must comply with safe handling and loading standards.

8.2 Customers must ensure appropriate loading/unloading equipment is available (e.g., forklifts, pallet trucks).

8.3 Additional charges apply for:

  • Tail-lift requirements
  • Excessive weight or size
  • Waiting time exceeding 15 minutes
  • Additional labour for loading or unloading

8.4 Freight that is insecure, unstable, or hazardous may be refused at the driver’s discretion.

9. Multi-Drop Services

9.1 Customers must provide clear instructions for each delivery point, including contact information and access details.

9.2 If a recipient is unavailable, we may:

  • Attempt to contact the customer
  • Proceed to the next stop
  • Return later if authorised (additional fees apply)

9.3 Multi-drop routes may be optimised by Delvoro unless otherwise agreed.

9.4 Repeated failed deliveries or address errors may incur additional charges.

10. Delivery & Attempted Delivery

10.1 Deliveries are made to the address provided, not necessarily the individual named.

10.2 If the recipient is unavailable, we may wait, return, or leave the item in a safe place if authorised.

10.3 Additional fees may apply for waiting time, redelivery, or return to sender.

11. Cancellation & Amendments

11.1 Bookings may be cancelled before driver dispatch at no cost.

11.2 If cancelled after allocation or dispatch, a call-out fee or partial job fee may apply.

11.3 Changes to route, address, vehicle type, or load may result in revised pricing.

12. Events Beyond Our Control

Delvoro is not liable for failure to perform services due to events outside our reasonable control, including but not limited to: extreme weather, traffic incidents, strikes, civil unrest, or technical failures.

13. Data Protection & Privacy

13.1 We comply with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

13.2 We only use customer data for booking, invoicing, and communications related to our services.

13.3 We do not sell or share personal data with third parties except when required to fulfil the delivery service.

14. Complaints

14.1 All complaints must be submitted in writing within 7 days of delivery.

14.2 Claims for loss or damage must include relevant evidence (photos, invoices, or proof of value).

14.3 We aim to respond to all complaints within a reasonable timeframe.

15. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes shall be handled exclusively by the courts of England and Wales.

16. Amendments

Delvoro reserves the right to update or modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
